BALI & GILI T

Four rhythms
of one island.

An insider journey for a group of no more than six women.

17–27 April 202710 nightsMax. 6 women
One island. Several worlds.

Bali doesn't have just one mood.

Ten nights, several completely different sides of Bali, and a programme that brings together the island I know from everyday life with some of the most interesting things happening there during our stay. We won't spend all ten nights in one place. We'll move between the ocean, the lush interior, rice-filled valleys and a car-free island, so that Bali becomes more than a list of day trips. You'll get to know what makes each part of it feel different.

I only really understood this once I started living there. Bali looks small on a map. In reality, an hour or two on the road can take you into a completely different world.

In one place, you wake up by the ocean and go to a movement class that evening. A few days later, you're standing among rice fields, hearing nothing but insects, with Mount Agung in the distance. Then you arrive in Ubud, where there are so many workshops, bodywork sessions, yoga classes, ceremonies, sound healings and teachers to choose from in any given week that it's hard to decide where to spend your time.

And then you arrive on Gili, and suddenly there are no cars. That's why this journey is built around moving between places. I don't want to show you one carefully chosen villa and drive you out on excursions every day. I want to show you several different sides of Bali, and give you enough time to get a feel for each one.

Our journey

Which Bali feels like yours?

Four places. Four different paces. Enough time to feel the difference.

01 / Canggu

Arriving by the ocean.

The ocean, restaurants, movement, a contemporary wellness scene and people from all over the world. Canggu is lively, social and modern. We'll begin here because after a long flight, what we need is good food, the sea, a massage and a little time to land.

02 / Ubud

In the green heart of Bali.

The island's green heart, with an extraordinary concentration of everything that draws people working with the body, yoga, consciousness and spirituality to Bali. This is where we'll choose from the workshops, classes and facilitators available during our stay. There are also rice fields, markets, temples, cafés and all the places that have made Ubud what it is.

03 / Sidemen

A change of pace.

My personal soft spot. Rice-filled valleys, villages, mountains, less traffic and far less stimulation. After Canggu and Ubud, you suddenly don't have twenty different options to choose from every evening. Sometimes that feels wonderful. Sidemen is on the itinerary precisely because of this contrast.

04 / Gili T

Sea. Bicycle. No cars.

The sea, a bicycle and no cars. After several days in Bali, we'll take a fast boat to a small island where the rhythm of everyday life changes almost immediately. We'll swim, snorkel with turtles, cycle around and spend a few days much closer to the water than to the traffic.

And then back to Canggu

At the end, we return to where we started. But after ten days, you may see Canggu quite differently. And you might know exactly whether your Bali is here, or somewhere else entirely.

A considered framework. A living programme.

Our days will be full. I just won't lock them in six months ahead.

The route, accommodation, transfers and main parts of the programme are planned. I'll put together the next layer closer to departure, based on what is actually happening in Bali at the time. We'll attend selected classes, workshops and events, and meet teachers, facilitators and people working with the body, movement, sound, consciousness and local traditions.

Some of them I already know.

How I put the programme together

Others I'll choose from what's happening at the time. And if something extraordinary comes up during the trip, we won't have to ignore it just because a PDF written in Prague says otherwise. That's what curating a journey means to me: having a framework, but remaining flexible enough within it to let Bali be Bali.

So where's the detailed itinerary?

You won't find one here, deliberately. This is one of the most important things I want to explain before you book. I know the places on Bali I want to return to. I know people, studios and kinds of work that I find meaningful.

How Bali time works

But much of Bali's interesting scene doesn't operate six months in advance. Schedules change. Facilitators come and go. Someone interesting might be holding just two events while we're there. Ceremonies follow their own calendars. Something that looks promising today may be completely different by April.

And then there's the local relationship with time, affectionately known as Bali time. Final confirmations often arrive much later than we're used to in Europe. That's why I don't want to invent a timetable today that says: 22 April, 4:30–6:00 pm — transformational workshop. That would be selling an illusion of control.

What we already know

Some parts of the journey are already set.

01

Melukat

A traditional Balinese water purification ritual. Participation is optional. We approach it with respect for the place and its customs, without any pressure to have a particular experience.

02

Ubud

Rice terraces, the Campuhan Ridge Walk, markets and cafés, plus selected classes and events depending on what's on at the time.

03

Bali's contemporary scene

Places such as Alchemy and Pyramids of Chi, alongside other studios, facilitators and teachers, depending on what's genuinely worth visiting that week.

04

Besakih

The Mother Temple at the foot of Mount Agung, weather and local conditions permitting.

05

Sidemen

Rice-filled valleys, beautiful landscapes and a distinctly slower stretch of the trip.

06

Gili T

Several days without car traffic, with the sea and a bicycle ride around the island.

07

Snorkelling with turtles

An organised excursion with all necessary equipment included.

08

Balinese massage

One massage is included in the price.

09

Somatics and movement with me

Simple work with movement, breath, attention and bodily awareness. Not another task to accomplish. We'll do what feels right for the body after travelling, activities and transfers.

What a day might look like

A structure, yes. A rigid schedule, no.

Ripe coffee cherries in Bali

The morning might begin with breakfast together, followed by a class or a place we've set out to visit. Lunch somewhere I'd genuinely take you myself. In the afternoon: a massage, rice fields, a temple, a workshop, the ocean or time to yourself. Some evenings we'll go to an event. On others, we'll have dinner and won't need anything more.

Some days will be much more active than others. The pace will change. What matters to me is that the trip has substance and space. If you cram everything Bali has to offer into ten days, you'll need another holiday afterwards.

An insider journey

You're not going to Bali with a list from the internet.

Bali isn't difficult to travel around. You can book a hotel, find a driver, open Instagram and save fifty places in twenty minutes. What's harder is knowing which of those fifty places deserve your time. Which ones are genuinely good, and which ones are only good on Instagram.

What I take care of

Where to go in the morning. Where to avoid at rush hour. When it's better to change plans. Which workshop I'd pay for myself, and which I'd skip. And when it's better to put the phone away and simply stay by the ocean. That's my role. You don't have to spend every evening sorting out the logistics of the next day.

I take care of the route, transport, reservations and communication on the ground, while continually filtering the options.

What you'll take home

I don't want to promise in advance that something inside you will change in ten days. I don't know that. But I do know what you can experience: several very different sides of Bali, its contemporary wellness and embodiment scene alongside the island's more traditional side, the ocean and the interior, and a small group.

What you can actually experience

Plenty of good food. Movement. Your body. New people. And enough first-hand experience that next time you come to Bali, you won't have to choose between Ubud and Canggu based on three Reels. You'll already know how you feel in each place.

A small group. Room to yourself.

No more than six women.

This trip may suit a woman who's drawn to Bali but doesn't want to spend weeks organising everything herself and guessing what's worth her time. Someone interested in the body, yoga, somatics, tantra, sound, movement or spirituality, but who doesn't want to spend ten days inside a conventional retreat. Someone who wants to see more than one part of the island.

Someone who enjoys a small group but also needs her own space.

You don't have to be an extrovert. You don't need experience with yoga or somatics. You don't have to be 'spiritual'. And you don't have to join every activity just because the rest of the group does. Rooms are normally shared by two people. If you'd prefer more privacy, a private room is available.

Your guide

I won't tell you about Bali from a hotel swimming pool.

Olivie K. at a waterfall in Bali

I actually lived in Bali for several years. I first came as a visitor and was fascinated by the island. Later, I moved there with my family. My children went to school there. We built a house. I dealt with ordinary daily life: traffic, housing, food, work, doctors, rain, drivers, internet, schools, neighbours and where to find a good Sunday breakfast.

And, little by little, I discovered the Bali that doesn't fit quite so neatly into an Instagram post.

My life in Bali and how I work

The traffic. The noise. The humidity. The enormous differences between regions. Tourist traps. Places that look fantastic online but that you don't need to visit twice. And places you keep wanting to return to. Eventually, I left Bali. Living on the island long-term wasn't for me. And precisely because of that, I don't have to describe it as paradise.

I love it enough to see its complexities, too. And I know it well enough to want to return differently: for a limited time, with a small group and a very deliberate selection of experiences I believe are worth our time.

About me

I work with the body, somatics, tantra and the nervous system. I'm interested in what a person actually perceives, not only in the words they use to describe the experience. I bring the same approach to travel. I don't want to take you to as many places as possible. I'm interested in rhythm. When to add stimulation. When to change surroundings. When another workshop would add nothing.

And when the best part of the day might be an ordinary breakfast, time in the water or a walk between rice fields. Olivie K.

Substance and space.

What you're actually paying for

Most of the decisions won't be yours to make for ten days.

You can book your own hotel in Bali, of course. Or a driver, or a yoga class. What you're paying for here is the combination of the entire route, with several different places to stay.

What I handle for you

Transfers. Fast boats. A driver. Reservations. Selecting activities. Communication on the ground. And my experience of the island, including where it's worth going at that particular time of year. During the trip, you won't need to open Google Maps and work out whether we should drive two hours across the island tomorrow, whether a place has good reviews or how to get from the harbour to our next hotel.

I'll take care of all of that.

Before you decide

Frequently asked questions.

Why isn't there a detailed day-by-day itinerary on the website?

Because it wouldn't be accurate yet. The foundations of the trip are clear: we know where we'll stay, how we'll travel, which parts of Bali we'll visit and which main experiences are included. For workshops, classes, teachers and certain local events, it makes more sense to wait until the actual schedule for the dates of our visit is available.

In Bali, many schedules are published fairly late. People arrive and leave, events are announced as they happen, and parts of local life are simply more flexible than we're used to in Europe. I don't want to put specific names and times on a schedule six months ahead just to make the itinerary look fuller.

We'll have a programme. I just want it to be up to date, rather than artificially precise.

Does a flexible programme mean we'll have a lot of empty time?

No. The days will be full of things to do. We'll travel between places, visit different locations, attend selected classes and events, and the programme includes melukat, temples, rice fields, Gili T, snorkelling, a massage, the sea and my own somatic classes. At the same time, I don't want to fill every day from 7 am until 10 pm just so I can publish a long list of activities on the website.

Bali is a very stimulating place. Part of the value of this journey is that after an intense day, we don't automatically need to add three more things.

How often will we change accommodation?

Our route takes us through Canggu, Ubud, Sidemen and Gili T before returning to Canggu at the end. So yes, we'll pack our bags several times. That's intentional. Staying in one place for ten nights would make the logistics simpler, but we'd miss one of the central reasons for this journey: actually experiencing the differences between these parts of the island.

We won't move every day. We'll have enough time in each place to experience it as more than scenery through a car window.

Is Bali safe?

Bali isn't without risks. For our trip, particular care is needed on the roads, when swimming and during boat transfers. Sea conditions can change quickly and may affect the crossing between Bali and Gili T. We'll have a private driver on Bali. I won't be driving, and neither will you have to.

I manage the route, communication on the ground and the pace of the day. For boat crossings, the weather and conditions take priority over our original plans.

Is this a spiritual journey?

That depends on what you mean by spiritual. We'll visit temples, have the option to take part in melukat, do yoga and somatic classes, and attend some workshops or events from Bali's contemporary wellness and spiritual scene. I work with the body, tantra and somatics, but I don't need you to adopt any belief system. You don't have to feel anything in particular or have some extraordinary experience.

You don't have to interpret everything. And you don't have to take part in a practice that doesn't feel right for you. We approach local rituals with respect for their cultural context and the rules of each place. If Bali's spiritual dimension is what draws you here, there will be room for it. If you're mainly interested in the island, the body, food, the ocean and a completely different pace of life, this journey can be just as rewarding.

Do I need experience with yoga, somatics or tantra?

No. The programme doesn't require prior experience or a particular level of ability. If a practice is new to you, you can simply try it in a way that feels right. And if you discover you don't enjoy it, you don't need to turn that into a personal project.

Do I have to join every activity?

No. We're a small group and of course we need to respect shared logistics, especially when travelling between places. But a class, melukat, a workshop or a group activity isn't a test of discipline. If you need to skip something, we'll work out a practical solution. I want you to have the chance to discover a lot of Bali, not to spend ten days obediently following a schedule.

What if a planned event or teacher changes at the last minute?

I'll choose another option. That's exactly why I'm leaving part of the programme open. Bali offers an enormous range of classes, workshops, bodywork, sound, yoga and different facilitators. If something is cancelled, I don't want to treat it as a disaster or cling to the original plan just because it appeared on the website. I'll choose what makes the most sense at that moment.

I'm not entirely comfortable travelling with women I don't know.

This matters to me. Difficult group dynamics can affect even a beautiful trip. That's why there'll be no more than six of us. One table at dinner. One car. No bus full of strangers. Travelling with me is very introvert-friendly. You don't need to be constantly social, entertain anyone or share personal stories just because we're a group of women.

Breakfast can be quiet. So can a car ride. If you want some time alone, you don't have to explain yourself. If we haven't met yet, we'll have a brief call before confirming your place, so we can both see whether the journey feels like a good fit. The goal isn't to manufacture obligatory sisterhood in ten days.

Just a group in which we can feel comfortable being ourselves together.

Will I share a room?

The standard price is based on sharing a twin room. If you'd prefer more space of your own, you can choose the Private Room option for €3,250.

How physically demanding is the journey?

This isn't a sporting expedition, but we'll move between locations several times during the ten days. We'll walk through rice fields and temples, manage steps and uneven paths, spend time in heat and humidity, board boats and snorkel on Gili. You don't need to be particularly athletic, but you do need a normal level of physical ability for travel, walking, stairs, heat and transfers.

If you have a medical condition or physical limitation and aren't sure, write to me before booking. I'll be straightforward about whether I think this trip would be suitable.

Do I need to speak Indonesian?

No. This is an international group of women, and I'll handle the main communication with accommodation providers, drivers and venues. You don't need to speak Indonesian to join.

How do lunches and dinners work?

They're not included in the price. We'll eat together in many places, and I'll be happy to choose or reserve restaurants. But everyone orders what they want and pays for their own meal. I prefer that to a fixed prepaid menu ten days in a row.

“It's a lot of money. What exactly am I paying for?”

Yes, it's a substantial amount, and I don't want to hide it behind the word 'transformation'. The trip costs €2,700 per person in a shared room, or €3,250 with your own room. That includes ten nights of accommodation, breakfasts, private transfers in Bali, fast boats to Gili and back, admission and activities according to the programme, selected classes and events, melukat, snorkelling with turtles, one Balinese massage and somatic classes.

You're also paying for the complete organisation of the journey: someone handling drivers, boats, bookings, transfers, current schedules and activity choices as we go. Of course you can travel around Bali for less. You can plan everything yourself. This trip is for when you'd rather not have to do that work and want to experience several different layers of the island.

If the price is beyond your budget right now, I respect that. A trip shouldn't put you under financial pressure.

How does payment work?

Your place is confirmed once you've paid the €500 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable, but by arrangement you can transfer it to another suitable person you recommend. Further instalments are due 120 days and 60 days before departure.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel your participation, the deposit remains non-refundable. By arrangement, you may transfer it to another suitable participant whom you recommend. If I cancel the trip, I'll refund 100% of the amount you've paid up to that point.

What happens after I submit the booking form?

I'll contact you personally. If we haven't met yet, we'll have a short call so we can both see whether the trip feels like a good fit. Submitting the form isn't a binding reservation. Your place is only confirmed when the €500 deposit has been paid.

How do I meet the group after landing?

You'll fly into Denpasar / DPS. We'll coordinate arrival times before the trip, taking everyone's flights into account. A private-driver transfer from the airport will be arranged, and you'll receive the exact instructions before departure. After a long flight, you won't need to find your first taxi or negotiate a transfer yourself. You're welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer in Bali after our trip. Any extra accommodation and other expenses are at your own cost.

No-obligation enquiry

Want to come along?

Fill in the short form. There's no obligation.

If we don't know each other personally yet, we'll start with a brief call.

For a ten-day trip in a small group, I think it matters that we both know who we're travelling with.

Your place is only confirmed once the €500 deposit has been paid.

You can always meet me in Prague first.

Ten days on the other side of the world is rather different from attending a two-hour class. If you only know me from Instagram and want to find out how I work, and whether my way of guiding people suits you, come to one of my Prague events or an individual session first. You don't have to book a trip after seeing my ad for the first time.
